It’s not just an endurance feat — it’s a reflection of what’s possible when mindset, discipline and purpose align. Raw, honest and grounded in the reality of the internal battle that comes with pushing your limits.

The story

Toowoomba to two continents.

“Every transformation begins the same way. Not with confidence or clarity or a sunrise, but with a moment you aren’t ready for, and a decision you make anyway.”

In 2025, Lachlan ran 58 marathons in 58 days. Across every state in America and every state and territory in Australia. The first person ever to do it in winter. Along the way he raised over $161,000 for the Mental Awareness Foundation.

States of Mind is the story behind that run. Not a how-to. Not a study. A memoir of one man, two continents, and the states of mind that carried him from a frozen ankle in Nevada to a homecoming in Brisbane. Life isn’t a place you arrive at. It’s a state you keep building.

What’s coming

Two parts. One story.

States of Mind — the memoir by Lachlan Stuart, hardcover.

The book — out now

Fifty-eight marathons. One long becoming.

From rock bottom in Toowoomba to a record-breaking run across two continents. The states of mind he moved through, the team that carried him, and the road that taught him what nothing else could.
